Hello and welcome, I’m glad you’re here… Counselling Canberra
There are often times in our lives when we experience difficulties and challenges. Counselling can help you through these times and assist you to experience personal growth, insight and well-being.
My name is Robyn and I offer support and opportunities to explore your experience in a safe and non-judgemental environment. I provide face-to face sessions in my home consulting area, and also online sessions using Zoom. Payments for counselling sessions can be made by card using PayPal, or by bank transfer, prior to your appointment. I will email you details of payment options when confirming your appointment time. For online therapy you will need a quiet, private space and a reliable internet connection.
What kind of issues can be addressed with counselling?
Counselling has shown to be helpful for people experiencing, stress, anxiety, depression, problems coping with difficult transitions, loneliness, self-esteem and self-confidence issues, relationship problems, career and work-related difficulties, grief and bereavement, and many others. Depending on the goal, and your needs, counselling can be either a short or long term process. Almost anything can be discussed during a counselling session whether it’s face-to-face or online.
Short-term counselling generally addresses a short term goal. Exploring more deeply is a longer process entailing regular sessions over an extended period of time. Because everyone is unique, it is important to develop a program that will suit your particular needs and circumstances, and one that feels ‘right’ to you.
My approach to therapy is relational and integrative and is founded in best practice and neuroscience theory, including Cognitive and Mindfulness Based therapies, Mind/Body and Parts Psychologies e.g., Internal Family Systems therapy. All of my therapeutic practices are Trauma Informed and Strengths based. During our session together we will discover and dissolve the obstacles that are preventing you from living the life you want.
If you would like to find out more and have a chat about doing some counselling with me, please email your interest to firstname.lastname@example.org, or text to 0430 220 552, and I’ll respond as soon as I’m able.
