Resource link for practitioners

Practitioners, often tell me that whilst feeling confident in their creativity and inquiry approaches, they feel frustration about their ‘not knowing‘ how to go about establishing good business practices. Very few mental health training courses include this vital aspect of practice in their teaching.

Luckily for me, in my previous careers, I learnt session and program planning, how to develop business plans and quality assurance documentation. I incorporate ‘business coaching‘ information in my professional supervision for art therapist and counsellors who want to know more about sound business and ethical professional practices.

One of the resources I find useful for ideas about starting a professional practice is the ‘Art Therapy Resources’ website;
This site provides information for practical art therapy techniques as well as essential business resources to help you establish and grow your Art Therapy or Counselling business.
