Today, the Directions Health Therapeutic Drawing group visited the National Gallery of Australia (NGA). Margaret and John, our Gallery educators for our afternoon experience, led a creative discussion about horizons, sky, and air whilst inspiring us with the art of two extraordinary Australian artists. Then we created what I call response art of our experience.
Afterwards, when the group debriefed over a cuppa at the Portrait Gallery cafe, next door to the NGA, it was suggested that we incorporate regular sessions at the NGA into our 2019 art therapy program. What a great idea. Can’t wait!
